Why would someone want to donate to that shite show. LSU is a mess. I'm sorry. I love my alma mater, but the administration has been a total mess since O'Keefe left. It's been a revolving door for about a decade, tuition continues to climb and the school's ranking continues to sink.

That way of thinking makes things worse and is a lousy excuse to avoid donating to academics. ie negative feedback loop / reflexive feedback loop

Yep.

Villanova just finished a round of fundraising for its 1,842 minute campaign. Raised 6.5 million in 1,842 minutes. Not bad.

The LSU foundation has been low for some time. Louisiana is so dirt poor and the many of the grads have migrated to Texas, Atlanta and other points outside the state. Problem is little of their dollars are flowing into the LSU foundation instead much of their discretionary allocated dollars are flowing into TAF. Other states many of the corporations fuel the University Foundations especially with matching $$ Louisiana is bear for major state based Fortune 1000 corporations.

Sad to say, If I was a senior in high school, I don't think I would go to LSU. Even the kids of out of state alumni going to LSU is trending down now. With all the positives that were made from 1999-2010 have quickly evaporated. I was in school with the Bud Davis mess that brought us Emmert the genius who performed the Great LSU reset. Now The state is a shite show mess and LSU's hierarchy is one big dysfunctional train wreck right now.

If Every LSU alum considering it's size would just donate $50 annually, the endowment would have significant growth. I am both a member of the LSU alumni association and a Texas Ex. 10 % of my annual donation to Texas Ex goes into the Texas Endowment. Doesn't sound like a lot but with the Texas base of alums it adds up. I was shocked that UGA's endowment isn't larger. Bama's is huge for it's tier.
