I know that argument and it's a pretty good one. It's why, even though I'm agnostic, I wish I weren't. It's terrifying to consider that my entire experience might be a series of chemical reactions. Counter intuitive, even. But lacking any solid proof of an alternative I'm forced to remain uncommitted.
Again, not trying to argue your beliefs. Just trying to explain mine.
