You are correct, they are not as bad as they looked and that is the problem that I have and many others have. So the real question is why are they so undisciplined? Answer a team takes on the identity of the coach. Enough said

I do not know why they were so undisciplined last night. I suspect that the atmosphere got to some of the younger guys as there were some blown assignments and you have to admit the targeting calls, esp the second one had nothing to do with discipline. but I do know that O is using refs during practice and I think that and experience will improve the situation some. after all, we had no off sides calls and only one or two motion or illegal formation calls (those are probably the ones they worked on this past week because we had so many the week before). I think theres a good chance that last night was an aberration as far as the targeting calls and the timing of the calls.

as far as a team taking on the identity of a coach I agree in the long run but we haven't seen that. and coach O is an extremely organized and disciplined individual (by all counts). he's a damn competitor and I hope this team takes on his identity.
