I'm not onboard with this, as a team can attempt to be balanced in playcalls, but suck at one phase or the other and skew your production metric.
Balanced production isn't really balanced playcalling. If a pass heavy dink and dunk team rushes 15/50 plays for 150yds, it doesn't necessarily mean opponents would sell out for run when calls are predominantly pass.
You don't get the production figure until the end of the game anyway, and a team with a lead could switch from 5/30 R/P to 30/5 R/P 2nd half and never be balanced at all, so it's more about mix of calls during series, imo.

Feel free to counter, as it's an interesting take on balance.
