Yeah good point about red zone. I am mainly referring to Thursday, SNF and MNF when there are no other options.

I watch sundays one of two ways -- either red zone if I don't care about any of the teams playing, or if there are several good games at once, I will tape a few -- watch one, flip to the other at commercial and flip to the other at commericial. Much easier to watch to fast forward that way and skip the BS

Have y'all noticed the split screen commercials? Where they are keeping the huddling and what not on the side while they show you a commercial in an effort to cut down on stoppages. I feel like it has helped

In my opinion, here are a few things the NFL can do to improve their product:

1. It's already been talked about here, but eliminate all the unnecessary commercial breaks during the games.. they're already making a frickton of money, why be greedy and take in more when you know this BS drives the fans crazy

2. Get rid of the Thursday night games.. the London games should be waxed too, or at least figure out a better way to schedule these games... maybe play in Canada or Mexico or something, I dno

3. Relax the rules on the defense a little. Yes I understand they are concerned about player safety (lawsuits), but it's a little annoying when you're watching your team on D, and everytime there is an incomplete pass, or the QB gets touched, you have to hold your breath and pray that there isn't a penalty.. too many drives are kept alive because of bullshite penalties

4. Speaking of penalties, there are too many automatic first downs.. a five yard penalty should be just that, a five yard penalty

5. To get back some of the goodwill from the fans, make goodell relinquish some of his authority.. maybe a panel or a board that can handle player discipline, I don't know. But to have one person be the judge, jury, and executioner seems a little archaic to me, especially in a league like the NFL.

6. For the love of god, drop the gameday prices at NFL stadiums across the board... besides tickets, parking is $40, beer is $9.50, small plates of food is $13.50, etc etc... there is no need to price gouge the way they do it

I'm sure some will disagree, and some will want to add to this list, but I feel like these changes could earn some of the fan support back
