Too many are interested in the entertainment value of passing. Been playing too much fantasy football. One sets up the other and you need both, but the ground game opens up the pass. If you can't pass, all the chunks in the world won't win. Carl Otis Trimble couldn't hit a barn when he played. I recall aTm figuring this out, loading the box, jamming the ends and daring us to pass, which we couldn't. We got embarrassed that season. Also, a good ground game controls the clock and keeps the opossing offense off the field. In addition to a running game to set up the passing game, you need a good defense. Defense still wins championships.

Passing is invaluable. You just don't have to do it much vs low level competition.

Under two minutes and down by 6, you probably wish you had practiced and implemented a better passing game
