I still think you would be fine drilling all the way through the wall and using hex bolts with the largest fender washer you can find and a nylock nut on the back side. That will spread out the "stress", if there really is any, on a larger area. Drill through the mortar and not the brick if possible. Drilling will be easier and you do not run the risk of shattering or cracking the brick.

I did just have another thought. Buy another of the same mount. Drill all the way thru, and you can bolt them back to back with the brick in between. That would spread out more weight too. that is unless you bought one of those super expensive mounts.

That might not have been a bad idea. Except I did buy
