This board was all about the 6.4 when it came out and was trashing the 6.0

stay far away from it! i had one of those lemons and a 6.0 lemon

I had one completely stock and put 130,000 on it before trading it in with no issues
That said the fuel mileage was AWFUL (13-14) and I've heard lots of horror stories
I wouldn't buy another diesel that wasn't a 7.3 (best diesel motor ever built IMO) or a 6.7 (not great but better than a 6.0 or 6.4 at least)
Can't comment on other brands as I've never driven one but frick a dodge
