I heard ice is a no no because it keeps inflammation down and that is what you want to the hurt area to get blood to. That it's used for temporary relief and not long term.

I've been foam rolling it, stretching, and taking aspirin. I honestly don't really see a lot of mobility issues with it. Like I said, it only hurts if I do something like a 3rd world squat all the way to the ground. I did pistol squats, L-sits, all kinds of stuff last night that require hip stability. Now, I haven't put any weight on it (like barbell weight), and I'm not going to. I'll do legs today just to see how it is, but I'm not going to go crazy. I'll do some bodyweight stuff and MAYBE some machines to see how it is.

I've heard that too, but some therapist will still insist on ice.
