Honestly you would hope a 10yo can decide what gender they are, its nature. I would hope they have taught them male vs female by then...
But just like tatoos, why would they allow this to happen on a minor for a non medical issue?

It's weird. They diagnose it as a mental issue, but they don't treat it as such. They just say "it is what it is and it means this person wants to mutilate their body so we should allow them to do so". There's no other mental illness-related self-mutilation condition that we allow to go untreated.
Unfortunately, this is where progressives, and the science they claim to love, part ways because they've turned this issue into a 100% emotional and chic topic. The fact that doctors are completely ignoring the 40% suicide rate and giving into these people's misguided whims borders on criminal.
