Can't mention the court, but I was sitting in chambers with a judge and DA who were both LSU fans as well. The judge was demanding that Miles be hauled before his court to explain "that shitshow embarrassment to the entire state of Louisiana." At first, we all took it lightly then realized he was actually serious. Wanted the DA to charge Miles with Malfeasance since he was a state employee. We let him blow, went to court to do our business, and all left, never to bring it up again. Besides, that particular court would have not had standing in such a case, and for the court that would have had standing, the case really couldn't have made for the charge. However, it was nice to fantasize for a couple of hours.

That game had a smell to it that was foul. Mafia foul.

Which is a pretty pathetic comment on the Louisiana judicial system. And in many ways on the entire Louisiana political establishment. In some places "judicial temperament" means something.
