Utter bullshite. HS is what you make of it. There are so many diverse groups of homeschoolers now and endless opportunities for socialization, sports, music, etc + awesome apprenticeships, coops, charter and private schools that allow participation.

Your perception is dated and even then flawed. Are we really that uncreative and preprogrammed a people that "traditional schooling" (which of course is a very very young institution with at best mixed results) is normative ?

Most homeschool kids aren't weird because they were homeschooled, they're weird because their parents are fricking weird and that is who taught them how to be people in this world.

And yes, most homeschooled kids are fricking weird because of this.

There is a minority though that turn out really well. They have two very dedicated parents, with at least one that has actual teaching experience, that mandate their child participate in group events such as sports, charity, summer camp, etc. every opportunity they can.
