Again...good god. Please tell me you are 18 years old...or better yet...15.
You can't make this shite up. Lmao. You have already said that if it is a good outcome, then someone else did it. If it is bad, then it is alleva. Basically what you are saying is that you aren't man enough to give credit when credit is due.
Lol...please be 18 or below.

Specifically how?
I would have challenged any media types who continually painted LSU in a bad light as not being flexible and reminded them that LSU was trying to work with Florida on this but Florida wouldn't budge and only came to the table when it was too late to move the game. This is certainly their right to keep a home game but that has no reflection on LSU.

How far ahead?
Sunday before the game scheduled for Gainesville, when it became apparent that it could be a issue.
quote:
How do you enforce this?
The conference and Florida wanted LSU to cancel a home game against South Alabama in order that the Florida game could be played on that date. Because apparently this was the only possible date according to the them. SEC office had no power at the time to force either school to do anything other than what was scheduled and under contract. SEC has no say in out of conference games that are played by conference members.
quote:
LSU controls all of Florida and all if its sports venues? LSU has the power to control the political apparatus of all of Florida including things like city police forces, county sheriff's offices, emergency response entities?
Your are fricking stupid you know damn well that isn't the case. All LSU has to say is we intend to play Florida that weekend. We do not care at what venue it is. Florida you decide that and we will be there. LSU offered to fly in and out the same day. LSU offered to play sunday, they offered to play monday. All options were rejected by florida. Oh and by the way. Every single other program in the state of Florida played that day or sometime that weekend. SO the narrative of safety for players and or lack of police and stadium personnel is a damn lie.
quote:
The SEC had no power to force the issue yet he allowed Florida to play him.
Because it wasn't an SEC sanctioned event?
You obviously are mentally retarded. The SEC has no power over none conference games as South Alabama isn't a SEC member. LSU has the power here but yet let Foley and Sankey play him. I am still of the opinion that LSU should have told Florida to go pound the sand. We will play you at anytime on or around the regularly scheduled game at any venue of your choice or any other day including after the regular season. But we will not be cancelling any of the games on our schedule.

So all LSU had to do was say that and "bingo" the entire state of Florida jumps through hoops to pacify LSU? LSU has that Power? How?

Right.
quote:
LSU has the power here
The game was scheduled for Florida. The only power LSU had on Florida was to either show up or forfeit. It was a

Florida

Which would have resulted in a forfeit.

Playing the game other than when it was scheduled would have required both the SEC and Florida approval. How many open dates are there between the final game of the season and the SEC Championship for this mystical game to have been played?
I don't know what other reality you live in, but it it is scary.

This stupidity on this site by some of the posters is why there are people who hate LSU. Some moron said he would have done this or that. This is being controlled by ths NCAA.

I think he lives in the reality where LSU fans aren't all Stockholm Syndrome sufferers and where we aren't always the junior partner in every negotiation. That's the attitude that gets games scheduled and played as opposed to the one that gets us At least 2 lost games in 2 years and 5 SEC road games for the first time in SEC history. Make it happen Joe . Or face the music.

Somehow I don't picture Alleva shivering in his boots over a threat from you.

Wrong . The parties involved are LSU, BYU, The Texas Game/stadium folks ( where the game was scheduled) and ESPN . In that order . Teams first ( safety before television). The "NCAA" is irrelevant, and will bless whatever reasonable arrangement LSU- BYU makes. Both schools have an interest in getting the game played and ESPN has ample time to get their people set up for that venue. So Pick a venue and do it . The end.

Yeah . The barely- hanging-on , hugely- unpopular, much-ridiculed AD doesn't care what public sentiment is. Aleeva has been wearing a diaper to work for three years now. But tell yourself whatever you want to tell yourself. If he's your hero, he's your hero. Free country.

I don't know about that but I'm pretty damn sure he doesn't give a rats arse about yours.

You know this how?

What I tell myself is that fans that post irrational and semi coherent hate messages about Alleva on the Rant aren't going to have any effect on him or, more importantly, those who have the power to fire him.

I find your blind allegiance in the face of his continued ineptitude and incompetence rather touching . On your knees. I hope he at least gives you a towel to clean up with after he's done with you.
