Sounds like fun, but depending on the number of rounds someone could be able to win the season by the second major. Also, giving points for losses with only two people seems pointless. I would suggest:

1) either add a 3rd person or ditch the "second place" points

2) setup a known game every weekend or two weeks. if the game is canceled due to weather so be it, but if one of the parties cancels the game the other party gets half the winning points. That will help keep someone from getting out to a strong lead then making excuse on why they can't play this week.

3) do points awarded based on Nassau. Winner of front 9 gets 5 points, winner of back 9 gets 5 points, and the winner of the match gets 5 points. Then prorate quadruple it for your "major" games. Brother A wins by 2 strokes on the front (5pts), Brother B wins by 3 strokes on the back (5pts), So final points awarded would be Brother A 5pts, Brother B 10pts. Hell you could even make it a 6 hole split instead of 9 holes, then in theory you could have both players finish with 10pts each and a tie.

I think these suggestions, especially #3, would make this a really fun season and hopefully make it competitive all the way to the end.

I do like this idea. Thank you for the suggestion.
