This isn't an argument because when people thought this, "science" as we know it didn't exist. So you can't really call them "scientists" at all.

It's not about stubbornness and I'm certainly not the ignorant one here. Just because some people took a philosophy class once or are clinging to what their 5th grade teacher told them about learning and discovery, doesn't mean that facts don't exist in this world.
