I would still go 12v even with a tractor for field spraying. Now if you want to spray 25 yards then go pto.
Just got a 16ft spray tip from northern that works great. Much better than a boom.
Will be cheaper to build if you can find a 3pt skid.

we have a 50 hp John Deere 4x4. Reason we are wanting to go the tractor mounted route is our terrain and our history with anything motorized doesn't bode well for a pull behind. We like the idea of the pto driven sprayer vs the gas generator style due to less parts to have to worry about messing with with regards to the little motor. We borrowed one this past weekend and sprayed all our food plots with it and decided we had to have one. Would ideally like one that's boom style, but no wider than the tractor so my father in law doesn't tear the boom right off of it, which with him is very possible.
