Dbeck, you are correct. It's all alcohol.

I bartended and ran bars for over 10 years.

Because of my occupation, I had to drink and sample probably a thousand different beers. Because of that I am a beer snob. I drink Bud Lt.

I think I have a better than average wine pallet. But I admit to not having a good beer pallet.

I wish I didn't have a taste for good wine. It would be a lot cheaper if I could drink the box crap or the pony wine.

The master sommeir that worked for my uncles distributorship taught me just about everything I know about wine.

The first lesson and one I've heard him repeat a million times was:

"A good wine is any wine that tastes good to you. Your goal to enjoying wine is find the least expensive wines that taste good to you."

Which makes a lot of sense.

I'm spoiled a little because I get split cases of Silver Oak, Banfi, Caymus, Jordan, etc, etc for next to nothing.

But there are a ton of good bottles out there in the 20 dollar range.

The problem is, for non OT ballers like myself, $20 bottle a night gets expensive QUICK.

Let me know next time you want to split a case of silver oak or caymus.

Skillet you are wise in the ways of science.

Do you think it's worth driving 2 hours north to Cape Girardeau, MO to get the full effect of this eclipse?

As a bonus I could get some "throwed rolls" from Lamberts in Sikeston.
