These sorts of comments about a prospect's girl friend, particularly someone who is a new signee for the women's team, are not helpful. Regardless of the status of their relationship, they are 18 year olds and don't deserve the tasteless public comments. I can't imagine either Reid or his girl friend appreciate this. If nothing else, everyone should stop and ask himself, "will this very important prospect and very important signee appreciate this comment or will this tend to alienate and drive them away"?
