I have decided to keep the peace, and I found what appears to be a good looking lentil soup recipe from Alton Brown. It gives the option of vegetable broth or chicken. I'm doing chicken broth just so I get the last laugh.

That's just mean. Just order a vegetable pizza with no cheese rather than be ugly about it or cancel the whole thing. This is family.
