Since your position is that the statues should be destroyed and we should forget the whole unpleasant business, just say so. I would disagree with you, respectfully.
Pretending to value the historical value and folks' access to them with your "museum" statement when your actual position couldn't be further from that is disingenuous and fatal to your credibility, IMHO.
