Okay guys, it's clear LBJ says he's not waiving his no trade clause for anyone, HOWEVER, let's play a game of who says no, and why!
Boston - LBJ
CLE - BKN '18 pick , Crowder , Tatum/Brown
(Excluding guys to make the cap work, just focusing on the main guys)
Let's start with Boston, if I'm Boston Im thinking hard about LBJ Bc it's only 1 year, a core of Horford, LBJ, Hayward, Thomas is pretty interesting. No doubt they win the east, but could they beat GS, I'm not sure
Cleveland, without a doubt I'm taking this deal. I know it may gain a bit of noise from the public about trading LBJ. But you're losing him anyway. Along with Kyrie, don't make the same mistake twice and let him walk for free. A core of Tatum/Brown, (whatever young player they get from Kyrie deal), along with Porter/Bagley/Ayton could be pretty good.
If you are the owner of either team, What's your call?

quote:Im not. The chance at winning a title if the warriors suffer an injury is just a better outcome than settling for A 3rd/4th seed for the next 5 years and hoping that Brooklyn's pick gets you Michael porter or doncic

And yes, Boston would do that deal because it's sets them up to make a run at the warriors

Management in Cleveland would be crusified if the traded LeBron. He could hold a press conference saying he was leaving at the end of the year, and the fans in Cleveland would still be pissed if they traded him. Part of the reason would be because of what happened when he left the first time and part of it would be fans are illogical and wouldn't believe he was going to leave.
Also, the Cavs have a legit chance to win the title so even if you know he's leaving why would you give away this year?
