If you think all the way back to last Saturday, Trump made his statement at a time when the local police were saying that it was an accident that happened because the guy had been chased.

The press is a lot like my ex - whatever he does, they will add their own spin and story to put him in a bad light. There is nothing he can say or do that they would not use to make him look bad. You know as well as I do that if this was obama you would be defending him for making the same statement as being proactive - except obama would not let an opportunity do divide people go to waste and he would have never made a statement like Trump's.
