And that's a big reason why Trump won. People are tired of being called racists and bigots by the Democratic Party. Instead of learning their lesson they're doubling down because they believe that they now have the morale high ground. One nutjob runs over a girl and now everyone on the right is "White Nationalist." Nobody is going to remember that girl in 3 1/2 years but they'll remember being labeled as bigot.
