We are looking a one right now with the 4 cylinder, I think that would be fine for my wife to drive around flat arse Louisiana

I've got an Outback with the 4 in flat arse Indiana - it's great. If you're going to tow (I don't) you probably want the 6, but for just driving, the 4 gets on the highway easily, cruises at 80 all day, and passes easily when you need it to.
