I'm not calling it yet but the women episodes have been a bit notch down and OBVIOUS women episodes, hell they made Rick the B story in both of them. Granted it was awesome but it was the B story. Rick shouldn't ever be the B plot
We will see at the end of the season but Im starting to think there's a reason they paired 14 episodes down to 9 and delayed the start.
Everyone tried to defend the guys saying quality takes time and its going to be so much better because of the delay.
The first April Fools episode was great, it felt like the Rick & Morty we've come to love. It was also written by one of the normal writers (man). Was that the reason it stood out next to these two good, but subpar episodes? We will see at the end of the season when we compare episodes and writers to quality.
I still love the show and the pickle Rick stuff was great.
I guess it could be that they are expanding Beth and summer, but two episodes now both had 5 minute monologues that were preachy and out of place in the show.
I did get the joke at the end, but they spent the A plot and way too much time on the therapy session that was just not funny.
The after credit joke was a way to cop out of the episode long boring therapy joke.

It was just straight up actual divorce therapy. Outside of the one frick you throw away joke by Beth, there wasn't even a joke or a reason for it.
They felt the need to actually explain the nature of the relationships to the audience. Which is unnecessary and boring and insulting. I thought it was setting something up, which would've been great. Like Rick killing the therapist or Morty snapping and putting everyone in there place, but it wasn't. It was just an actual divorce therapy session for the Sanchez family.

Holy shite it's like you watched this episode in a different reality.
There is NO way one could watch this episode and think of Pickle Rick being the B story.
