Our gangs>>>>their gangs

This is true. Even MS13 tried to move into Nola after Katrina, but were ran off by the locals. Nola hoodrats are hardcore as hell.

I think I saw that in the show gangland, in their Nola episode. But possibly somewhere else.

I've always heard that outside gangs never got a foothold in Nola because everyone is related somehow. Kill one guy and half the city will be looking for revenge just cause you're an outsider.

Oh no MS-13 is very prevalent in Orleans Parish today. They proliferated post-K when hispanics were being targeted by local African american neighborhood gangs and fought back hard. Mexican Mafia also has a strong presence and organized but unlike the black gangs they are organized.
