Probably, but they also had another reason to introduce them: to show that there was some acknowledgement of the threat of dragons and to make them look somewhat competent in trying to prepare for them.

One dragon is going ice dragon.
They will need both to take on the Night King. I'm not sure Cersei will take down one. Definitely not this season.
I think it will give her a big reason not to try to bring up dragoning the red keep again.
