I think the next best is like 2 or 3 or something (too lazy to look it up). What a Saint this guy is!

Barring a catastrophic career-ending injury, Brees will likely break Manning's career passing records within the next 2 seasons, a Saint's a potential all-time career leader in a major statistical category! Good times.

and matt ryan has a frickin mvp award. Just goes to show you what a joke this front office and coaching staff has been. No reason with this kind of production you should not win the nfc south every year

He is the Goat....He has the one ring and selfishly I obviously would love to see him get a 2nd ring.
Not taking away from what Brady has done or what Montana did, but if Brees had the 2nd ring then he would be in that talk of top 1-3 QBs of all time.
He will have stats that nobody will touch once he is finished.

Top 6 QB in NFL history, inarguably

I hope he gets another ring.

Brees has the only MVP that really matters. SB44 MVP.
Posted on 8/4/17 at 1:46 pm to Street Hawk
He is 5869 yards from the passing record. YPG for his career in NOLA is 309. So he'll do it in 19 games if he stays at this pace. Week 3 of the 2018 season. Yardage record is basically a lock.

Looked these stats up because I was baffled as to how he couldn't have won MVP that 2011 season. They both lit the league on fire. Obviously would've gave it to Drew, but hard to argue against Rodgers in the same breath. What a performance by both.

How about 11 straight seasons of passing for at least 4,388 yards and 26 TDs?
His average regular season with the Saints over these 11 seasons is as follows:
4,888 yards and 33 touchdowns
His AVERAGE game as a Saint since 2006, which includes postseason appearances, is as follows:
310 yards and 2.2 TDs

2011: the most collectively prolific passing season in NFL history, bar none

But yet the NFL gives the MVP to State Farm douche.

Can't forget GOAT Brady threw for 5,200 yds and led the Pats to 13-3 and no. 1 AFC seed that season as well, LOADED

Drew's season was MVP-caliber, but Rodgers' was just out of this world. Even Ryan's phenomenal year wouldn't have even beat him. Maybe Manning's 2014 year would have won based on TDs, but it was that absurd.
He's also missing a game where Matt Flynn completed 70.5% of his passes, had a 10.9 YPA, and 6 TDs so the totals would/could have been even more ludicrous (not even including his yards on the ground...gotta give him credit where credit is due)
Their team as a whole as just outrageously good and Rodgers just made them damn close to unbeatable. We were disappointed, but I think that's also a team that shoulda won it all and got unlucky because of the giants (funniest part they were ranked defensively 27th in YPG - 376.4 YPG and 25th in PPG - 25.0PPG; but they had an amazing knack for sacks 48, turnovers INT 20, FF 16 (FR 11). Rodgers had 3 games sub 100 passer rating that year, L vs KC (80.1), L vs NYG (78.5), and W vs Oakland (96.7)...he threw for 106.2 earlier in the year v NYG.

That year the top 3 QBs could have made a case for MVP, all would be MVP-caliber in any season. Two of them got railed by NYG's defense and Eli just happening to play like Elite-Eli.
Eli's playoffs: 4-0, 65.0 completion%, 1219 yards, 7.48 YPA, 9 TDs, 1 INT, 103.3 rating
That 4 game stretch is only bested by his 4 game stretch in 2009 (regular season): 4-0, 63.2 completion%, 956 yards, 9.02 YPA, 9 TDs, 1 INT, 116.7 rating
- They were 5-0 then we beat them by 21 points
I think moral of the story is: If Eli is in the regular season, try not to beat him (division don't sweep him you can win 1). Because if win and you meet in the playoffs, you lose 100%. If you lose to him, its a wash.
2006: 1-1 vs Philly; lost to philly
2007: 0-2 vs Dallas, 0-1 vs GB, 0-1 vs NE; Beat all 3
2008: 1-1 vs Philly; lost to philly
2011: 0-1 vs GB, 0-1 vs SF, 1-0 vs NE; Beat all 3
2016: 0-1 vs GB; lost to GB
All in all, the truth is 2009 is a season where he got robbed, not 2011. No reason for him to not have won it.
Better Completion% (70.6 to 68.8 = +1.8)
Better YPA (8.54 to 7.88 = +0.66)
Better TD (34 to 33 = +1)
Better Rushing TD (2 to 0 = +2)
Better TD% (6.6 to 5.8 = +0.8)
Better INT (11 to 16 = -5)
Better INT% (2.1 to 2.8 = -0.7)
Better Rating (109.6 to 99.9 = +9.7)
Less Yards (4388 to 4500 = -112)
Brees sat out of a full game whereas Manning sat out of half and threw for 95 yards and an INT in that one.
Offense:
Saints: #1 YPG, #4 Passing YPG, #6 Rushing YPG, #1 PPG
Colts: #9 YPG, #2 Passing YPG, #32 Rushing YPG, #7 PPG
Record 13-3
Defense:
Saints: #25 YPG, #26 Passing YPG, #21 Rushing YPG, #20 PPG; 35 sacks, 26 INTs, 15 FF, 13 FR
Colts: #18 YPG, #14 Passing YPG, #24 Rushing YPG, #8 PPG; 34 sacks, 16 INTs, 14 FF, 9 FR
Record 14-2
They gave it to Manning because he's Manning and they had no run game.

To this day, 2011 Aaron Rodgers is the highest single-season passer rating in NFL history and 45-6 TD/INT ratio, also gained 257 yds on the ground with 3 extra scores. His passer rating that season exceeded the runnerup's(Brees) by a 12 point margin, simply outrageous.

The real question here is
A) Is Brees in the New Orleans Uniform in 2018? I say Yes.
B) Does the league give us home games in Week 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 in pursuit of the record?

Are we just going to gloss over all of those interceptions?

385 TDs to 167 INTs while a Saint. That INT% is the same as Manning
