If that was the case, then why would so much of the information they put out be false?

Because of their zeal to print anything that hurts Trump, they have mischaracterized several leaks, or simply failed to verify what they were printing.

An example was the Comey memo. They ran the story based on a second hand reading of excerpts. They never actually saw or read the memo, but they ran a story rife with negative spin.

Another example was the russia meeting where they accused Trump of compromising assets in Isreal. It was based on second hand and incomplete info. WaPo then conjured a hit piece based on that incomplete info.

In every case, however, they had someone leaking something real -- they just bungled the stories with their bias.

What have they 'put out' that's turned out to be false?
