I'd like to inquire how civil judgements are paid in Texas?
I can't take your income, without your consent? I can't liquidate a home?
Any other property available? Or do I just assume the check is in the mail?
It is hard to collect a judgment from a Texas debtor. Texas has broad exemptions from levy. If they have more than one house, you may be able to collect. In many cases, creditors look for boats and airplanes. You can garnish a bank account.
It is possible that these debtors have liability insurance.
A good Texas lawyer can make most people judgment proof.
