Oh and most of the bunkers are not up to par

Bunkers cost a ton to upkeep. And they're a hazard. No need for them to be perfect. Use maintenance and labor budget elsewhere on public courses IMO.

This is a perfectly acceptable response when referring to a public course or any course where the budget is an issue.

This is a cop out. If this was actually true, you wouldn't see bunkers manicured at all anywhere. Bunkers should have a certain consistency to them on each course, and players should expect playable conditions out of them on a regular basis. Attention to detail is definitely given to other hazard areas on golf courses.

Played this last weekend. Bunkers need work. It's in next phase of course improvements. Greens should be rolling better this week. Two green is still kind of rough but considering it was under water last year... greens are getting better. Let me know if ever you want to tee it up old baw
