Students no longer need permission from a doctor or their school to use sunscreen on campus, on a school bus or at a school function

I wonder WTF happened to ever make this a rule in the first place? It seems like it goes in line with lip gloss, make-up, moisturizer etc.

While 38 of the state’s 69 school districts allow schools to use corporal punishment, paddling will be outlawed for students with disabilities. Estimates are as many as one-fifth of students fit the law’s description, including students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

More schools need to paddle. Handicapped students should have never been paddled in the first place. Most kids with ADHD need a good butt whipping.

At Louisiana’s colleges, a “ban the box” law restricts the questions that can be asked about criminal history to determine admission. Schools can ask about convictions for stalking, rape and sexual battery. After granting admission, they also can ask about convictions to decide if they’ll limit participation in campus programs, financial aid and housing

Non violent crimes should not be asked about. Violent crimes, once the person has paid their debt to society, may be asked about but not restrict the student from advancing in life. Perhaps set up some type of probationary monitoring program.

Starting Tuesday, cities and towns that use cameras to catch speeders will have to post signs notifying drivers about the monitoring, or they won’t be able to use the images to ticket motorists.

No private business should be able to make $ off a citation.

I assume you are drawing the line at direct compensation? Otherwise, plenty of money is made indirectly.

Sunscreen fell under the school ban on drugs. The same way they make a big deal if a kid has a headache and needs an advil.

I think a couple of busloads of kids got sun burnt to shite on a field trip and it caused them to re-classify sun screen as it is common fricking sense.
