It's a fricking game, bro.

I understand that completely, but I'm watching it. It would be like watching your favorite show and having to answer questions about the backstory for the entire hour.

I want to watch the show. Football is my "show" during the season. I want to watch it, not talk about it.

Sorry if that makes me an arse.

I always have good snacks.

Maybe don't invite her over for the games. Just watch in complete silence by yourself, taking diligent notes. What do you do if you watch the game at a bar? Stab whoever dares to speak or cheer?

So, 18-22 year olds playing football helps you define and feel good about your pathetic life. Yep, you're a gump.
