We've been married for 15 years and with kids for 10. My wife made more than me before the kids but changed careers afterwards to spend more time with them. I make about double what she does now but I work about 50 hrs per week and she maybe puts in 30. It would be difficult to dice that budget up fairly other than to just carve off a little mad money for her and be done with it. I guess everyone's situation is different
