Your fans that made the trip up north two years ago were very well-liked by the Cuse fanbase. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a drop of alcohol left in the city afterwards.
Thanks for that. I made that trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Syracuse fans I met were very friendly and welcoming. They were stunned/impressed that LSU traveled so well. I went to Cooperstown on Friday. That part of the country is absolutely beautiful and I hope to have occasion to go back there again some day.
My main advice is to echo what a few others have said about the heat and humidity. BR in September is no joke. It's hot and it's humid. Just have plenty of water handy to stay hydrated and you should be fine. Maybe also pack an extra shirt or two if you walk around on game day. You will sweat through a couple! I also suggest walking around in your Orange gear. Our fans are known for their hospitality to out-of-towners, especially ones out of conference who don't visit here often. Walk around with a smile and a good attitude about being "Tiger-baited" and you will eat like a king....for free no less....all day.
And one small piece of advice...if someone at a tailgate offers you a bowl of something, don't ask what's in it. You probably don't want to know...but it will likely be delicious!
Enjoy yourself and be sure to report back on your experience.

And to the point above regarding bars not opening early enough in Syracuse for LSU fans, you're absolutely correct. We should have had our act together better.
In spite of this, one of my best road trips ever. Book-ended Syracuse around stops in NYC and Niagara Falls.
Kick me an email if you want to stop by our tailgate near Memorial Tower (Parade Ground). I did the same years ago and am still friends with a group from Nova Scotia. Goose11262@yahoo.com
