What kind of speeds are you getting? Cable would be plenty if it works well. I mainly want good speeds for voip.

How many simultaneous VoIP calls will you need at a time? Cause if this is just for you... you don't fricking need fiber.
Fiber is nonexistent for residential customers although AT&T and Cox plan on deploying over the next few years.
Cox's fastest coax tier is 300mbps and when they roll out DOCSIS 3.1 it will go even higher. That's why Cox isn't in a big push to deploy fiber. They have no reason to unless AT&T does it first.
If you're a business you can pay to have fiber installed but it isn't worth it unless you're a large business that really needs all that bandwidth.

I did a speed test last night and got 89 down and 15 up.
Like I said originally, no issue surfing web on laptop and streaming HD video on tv. If you think you need a little more, opt for the 300 mbps and you should be fine.
