my glass Dobyn's crainkbait rod

Are you happy with the glass? Seems like one of the bigger pissing matches on bass fishing forums. Some guys swear by it and others say its obsolete with graphite available in moderate actions now. At some point I'll be looking to get a dedicated deep cranking rod and I go back and forth between the glass dobyns, st croixs new glass rod, or graphite cranking rods in the same range. For 250 I cant really afford to hate it after it's bought.

Just like with certain fishing lines, they have their place. Definitely not obsolete in my opinion. But if extreme sensitivity is what you're looking for, graphite has the edge. I still use some glass rods for moving baits and topwater.
