Prob my all time favorite sitcom.
One thing that has always annoyed me though. The intro scene for the house only shows it having a stoop/steps. Yet there are many scenes over the years where they're on a porch.
The episode with the gifts from the Palmers with the racist figurines and the painting with Carey's giant arm is priceless.

I believe they use 2 different houses for the outside shots, inside never changes. Also, one of the outside shots shows the front door almost all the way to the left of the house, yet there is a foyer and staircase to that side of the house.
Nice catch with porch.

How about Walter White as the obnoxious neighbor in his Speedo when they build the pool deck up over the top of the fence?

I'm not asking you to buy a filter Doug. I'm asking you to buy a way of life.

Doug: No one's calling me Fatty McButter Pants anymore.
Carrie: Someone called you Fatty McButter Pants?
Doug: Uh huh, yesterday in line at the bank.
Carrie: And it took seeing the bag from the Big and Tall store to realize you were overweight?
Doug: Uh huh.
What an amazing scene.

The episode where Carey starts wearing her hair in a bun and Doug hates it was on yesterday. I feel the same way.

I actually was present at the taping of this episode when I visited Los Angeles.
It was interesting to see the process. Kevin James would riff four or five different punchlines on several jokes through the script and they would keep the one that worked best.

Loved KoQ, but hated the last season where Carrie and Doug almost broke up over a fricking apartment...I always think what a bitch for being so vain. Throwing away 7 years of having a good life just so she could live in Manhattan. frick her.

Great show. Doug and Carrie remind us a lot if me and my wife.

I always liked that because Doug finally stood his ground and called her out on her BS. She was always making it clear that she had settled and that she thought she could've gotten a more successful husband if she had gone to college.
This episode really made them look at their relationship and realize that Manhattan couldn't fill the void in her life.

Yeah...that was a running theme. Doug knew she was way out of his league...and always was worrying she would realize it too.
And she kinda always did - she had that, one foot in and one foot out the door vibe and her character played that part depression - where she's always complaining about Doug and trying to improve him to make herself feel better about settling.
There are multiple episodes where she's so embarrassed when Doug tells her friends or co-workers that he drives a delivery truck. She's always saying, yeah but he's working on better things - this is just a stepping stone - and Doug's like - what? This is me.
Not that Carrie was awesome - she was a paralegal - not exactly the Supreme Court. But she was conceited and somewhat narcissistic but Doug always brought her back to earth.

Really good summary of the show
Their whole dynamic seemed very believable

Except for the part about how a paralegal and delivery driver could afford a house anywhere near NYC. I guess they did make it believable because they never had any savings, like when the mold occurred and they had nothing saved.
I was always hopeful that in the finale Arthur would find out about an old settlement or come into a bunch of money somehow and save the day. But I guess that wouldn't be very Arthur-like. Love that guy.

Remember when he tried to sell the local hardware store the "Aurther Head" screwdriver?
Also, he wanted to sue Charles Schultz because he stole Snoopy's name from Spooner? Doug said something about the spelling and Aurther replied with something to the effect of "well, if you lose the 'er', change the 'n' to a 'p' and add a 'y', you get Snoopy".

Doug: Aw, who are we kidding, I'll have a number four.
Guy: Would you like to try our all new curly fries?
Doug: Yeah give me a number three with curly fries
Guy: So cancel the number four?
Doug: Did you hear the word cancel?
This episode is on TVLand now.
This is the Carrie I like. Tan, fit and no bangs. Lmao at Spence drooling over her in the kitchen.

I meant the dynamic of their relationship, not necessarily their house
Although, I think most of Queens is middle class, and it's not like they lived in a mansion. Looked like, what, 1800 sq ft?
