Here it is. When an individual consumes a drug, the individual's perception becomes an expanded/magnified extension of said individual's PSYCHOLOGICAL makeup. Back when, if a solid person in the group consumed hallucinogens...good for all. But if a trouble person joined the party...bad trip. Damn quick. Not rocket science.

Point being...that if a psychologically well-grounded (moral and civically responsible) individual consumes a drug...positive (Personal/Societal) effects may occur...but if a psychologically-problematic individual consumes the same...bad things MAY occur.

I concede the pacifying ("couch") principle up front, regardless the psychology of an individual. Though the 'couch' effect can be highly corrosive re discipline required in holding a job.

Like the possession and use of a gun...availability of a drug can be good or bad...depending on who employs it.

I gave up smoke way back, as a principle stand; full well knowing that a highly disciplined use of it on my part, COULD be a positive thing, for me personally. But having taken the offer of Jesus' Mercy in regard to personal karma and my responsibility toward greater society/my brethren, and noting a particular Scriptural verse (Idea) wherein there are Christian/Theological societal scenarios where a thing that is totally harmless or even positive to me...the truth is that such a scenario (drug use in this case) could be interpreted by an weaker individual who observed me - but who has an addictive Gene set - as being essentially positive. If I choose to act only on the basis of my own personal health, the Good Book calls this the "casting of a (possible) stumblingblock before the weaker brethren". Such being the Principle whereon my sacrificial choice is based. Though being highly impulsive when properly-vision motivated...likely better that I remain grounded in the 'mundane' version of Perception.

That said, I have dear friends who lead healthy, moral and productive lives who do employ drugs (alcohol, smoke, etc.), and who I DO NOT judge in any capacity. Personal belief/choice is between an individual's conscience...and their own Perceptive paradigm of Belief (or dis-belief).

Of course Sessions can link pot use to criminal behavior. Of course individuals with problematic psychology will use drugs...and those drugs will likely become a crutch, rather than a visionary impetus for transformation. In the 'old days', Society and Mother Nature dealt with 'problematic' psychological individuals harshly; and the problems were therein limited. In our new (Egalitarian) *government* paradigm, where subsidization must be *equally* offered with respect to ALL manner of personal belief/choice...well, in effect, we subsidize/enable problematic psychoses to endure, and wreak personal and societal havoc.

It'll all come out in the wash.

Let the downvotes rain down.
