You think they added ramps to get some contractors paid? It's far more likely it was part of a settlement agreement. And you probably wouldn't think it was a waste if you were in a wheelchair, either.

A similar situation arose in my neighborhood a year or two ago. There were complaints *exactly* like yours, until the city responded with the details of the settlement and class action lawsuit that prompted it and folks just kinda quieted down

Well I guess then the entire planet should be re-engineered and renovated to accommodate every single handicap imaginable regardless of expense.

Just because something is done, does not mean it makes FINANCIAL sense.

There has to be a balance and government has proven they cannot recognize a balance between benefit AND cost.
