When elected officials actually take the tax money designed for a particular project and use it for that project instead of padding their own pockets and using it to get re elected!
Until then I will vote no for every tax increase or even tax renewal.
I would be for a toll road since the people who actually use it pay for it but sadly this probably will never happen either. I can already hear people screaming about the fact they are discriminated against because they don't have the money to use the new toll road. State Legislature will then cave to this and we will all be stuck with a huge tax burden anyway.

I agree they waste a lot of money at the state gov level and city parish level. Mayor Bitchey's transportation property tax will not go just to roads. It will also push some money to Cats which has already taxed the people to death and stupid trans from LSU to downtown.
They need to put gas tax on gas in EBRP to tax the all the drivers who use the roads.

I do the same. I have voted against every single tax increase for a long time. It doesn't matter what it is for. Our system is corrupt. Why would I continue to feed it with my own money?
