The people in Madisonville, Covington, and Mandeville should petition to split STP into two parishes, and create a West & East STP.

Eat a dick. Lacombe is easily the best town in the Parish. I own property in Mandeville. No way Id live there with those stuck-up assholes.

...but yeah, Slidell is gross.

I think the Fire Marshall's office is obviously incompetent and Steve was counting on that. The fact that he knows them was probably also something he figured would help.

You would think Steve would be trying to find her killer like OJ. What other girlfriends does he have?

Not giving names but I was told by someone who worked closely with him and knew him well that he was a serial cheater. He had been thru multiple girlfriends. Being faithful was not one of the things he was good at.

Not quite sure how much Nanette knew about this. It would seem she didn't know about steve's dalliance with his alleged FD girlfriend as Nanette was FB friends with her and just 4 days before her death had made a sweet comment on a pic the alleged gf posted of her child.

article from 7/26

This is an older article but 2 parts of it struck me as interesting.

quote:

Few details about the investigation have been released, but officials confirmed that detectives are now reviewing video evidence. Investigators have not confirmed what is shown in the video.

I'm kinda curious about what the video is. I would imagine it could be from a home security of a neighbor or something like that.

Then there is this:
quote:

Officials said Nanette Krentel's body was found in the rubble next to her pets, which were also killed in the blaze.

Hmmm.. I would hope they kept the remains of the animals and did a necropsy on them. If they died in the fire i don;t think they would have been by her body. The fire would have scared them and they would have likely run under a bed or something.

So that could mean that they were possibly killed before the fire. (Hopefully a necropsy (animal autopsy) could tell if they had soot in their lungs or were dead before the fire).

If they died before the fire then what was their cause of death. Seems quite unlikely that Nanette would have harmed, much less killed her 3 beloved pets. Nanette did not have children and often people who do not have children are especially devoted to their pets.

Note that the police are not acting at all like there is some killer on the loose which seems to suggest that they know this was a personal attack and not the work of a killer on the loose.

Also if it were a stranger who broke in and killed Nanette, it was likely a violent confrontation which would have also scared the animals who would have hid. The dog might have tried to protect her but cats would have hidden.

A burglar wouldn't care about killing pets, except maybe a dog who attacked them or barked at them. Cats don't usually go after strangers who threaten their owners.

I also wonder who was the last person to talk to Nanette and when Steve claims he last saw her. Is it possible she was killed many hours (or days) before the fire and the fire was to cover the fact that she had been dead for a while?

So many questions and none of them lead to think this is a suicide.

Its an interesting story, and your info is worth reading... but you theorizing what the pets would've done in the case of a fire or intruder, or their owner laying dead on the ground is a bit much...

Pearl River? Nah. Abita? I can go with that.

1. Lacombe
2. Abita Springs
3. Madisonville
4. Folsom
5. Old Covington
6. Pearl River
7. Mandeville
8. Regular Covington
9. Slidell

I can absolutely understand your concerns on that but in a crime investigation you have to go over every minor aspect of an investigation looking for small things that don't look right.

I have almost a decade of being a member of a fire dept. We know in a fire that animals and small children run under beds, into closets and such. They hide. They don't usually just sit out in the open and die.

That's not just my theory. That's fact based upon decades of firefighter's experiences. My point really was that this was just one more aspect of the story that seems very odd.

I do try to bring the facts to the table when I can. But yeah, I do theorize an awful lot, lol. You are right about that.

The Fire Marshall's office decided pretty quickly it was a suicide. That, to me, was weird. I don't know what kind of training they get. But, it looks like they were way off.

This story makes me so mad. The fact that there isn't a suspect yet, or that it hasn't been announced, pisses me off.

"Nothing" being in Lacombe is exactly what makes it great. Who moves to St. Tammany to be in a city? If youre going to do that just stay in a bigger city with access to more resources and nightlife(NOLA, St. Bernard, Jefferson).

The black folk in Lacombe are the best black folk Ive ever met in my life.

Ok judging by your username, I'm sure you get to see the best of them and I can see exactly why you feel this way. Well with me growing up on the North shore, I can tell you first hand that I haven't come across any in Lacombe that are remotely civilized. So I strongly disagree

Hi Ginger. I am a family member of Nan's. (NOT a Krentel). I have been an avid reader of this board since July 21. Would you please reach out and contact me? I promise to keep you confidential. You may contact me through the Justice4Nanette FB page Facebook.com/justice4nan or the youcaring.com/justice4nanette. OR you may call me at 850-625-1388. I am so desperate for any kind of guidance and help we can get right now. I would say we are fighting for Nan's life but sadly she has already lost that. So I guess I should say I am fighting for her reputation, her memory. And because I fear whoever did this thinks they are going to get away with it. Thanks so much in advance.

State fire Marshall's office is run by the biggest dumbass ever. Doesn't surprise me that they can't seem to figure anything out.

I will be in touch with you soon. As you can see I am very dedicated to making sure that sweet Nanette gets the justice she deserves and that her killer is hopefully sent to prison for life.

I hear that from many St. Tammany locals. That just hasnt been my experience at all. It could just be that my personality doesnt clash with them as much as locals. Im not "black" but I grew up around them so I know how to deal with them so maybe that has something to do with it.
