Yep. My dad battled the same type cancer back in '91-'93. Doctor at MDA said if he operated the only thing he could guarantee is that my dad would be wheelchair bound the rest of his life and probably not even know who he was. Our big decision was to put it in God's hands and let him decide my dad's fate. He passed away three days later at age 67.

If I were the McCains, I'd start saying my goodbyes and hope there is no suffering during the time he has left.
