Alcoholism has certainly affected my family big time as a whole.

This is what scares me about my extended family. I know the alcoholic gene runs in my family. I fear for anyone to combine a predisposition for addiction with opioids or amphetamines.

Same here. I was part of it but got 1 year sober yesterday. Hopefully others will follow suit as I don't see them anymore nor do my kids see them.
