That's why I advocate holding onto our draft picks, hoping for the best with the AD/Boogie experiment and also hoping we can hit on a draft pick or 2.

That's not what was shown in the graph in the linked article. The worst values were the $5-$10 million deals and the $10-$15 million deals, the 2 segments of the market Dell made sure to hit the first chance he had any significant amount of cap space.
