There are ton of good answers in here that have been said multiple time, but I'll reiterate the important stuff.

1. Crate your dog. At 7 weeks he will need to potty about every 2-3 hours.

2. Set an alarm at 3 hours, wake up walk immediately to the kennel, pick him up and take him outside immediately to his potty area. When he uses it loose your shite with how happy you are with him.

3. Take him back inside and immediately back to the kennel. He's gonna whine, it's ok he'll stop.

Notes- if your puppy is whining at the 2 hour and 5 min mark it's ok to go to him, but only so he can potty. If when you take him outside he doesn't use it, put him right back in the kennel.

If you want to train your dog, start introducing a command everytime yall go outside. I use the word "outside" and my dogs all know what it means.

You can also introduce a bell hanging on the door. Every time you take him outside to use it, slap the bell. He'll learn within a few months that the bell means outside, outside=potty. He'll be able to reliably let you know he has to go. **My dogs abuse this, and I had to take it away. If they saw a bird fly by one the windows they would molest the damn bell until they were let outside to defend the base. However, it worked well when they were pups, because even though they were kennel trained they would still have accidents inside due to poor communication.

Pups are a ton of fun. You will lose so sleep... Do yourself a favor and just google raising/training a puppy. Your dog can be a pain in the arse, or the coolest friend ever, and it's pretty much all up to you.
