Republicans and Democrats will be discussing the propriety of the unmasking issue and will miss the forest for the trees. How is the NSA spying program at all consistent with freedom and individual liberty? No government should have the ability to secretly monitor and record the communications of its citizens without a valid warrant from a court of record, not the kangaroo and secretive FISA court that grants the government's requests at a 99.9% rate. So long as we have these spying programs, they will be abused by power hungry politicians.

They already made their post-Snowden tweaks to the program to pacify the ignorant masses. This thing is entrenched and when have you ever known a government to willingly give up power?
