SHe is trying to tone her image down.
She whored it up because the gays were buying albums and tickets. Queers are a fickle lot, though, and they bailed on her.
Now she wants to appeal to the pop country crowd, and is having to resort to desperate acts like her recent string of incoherent justifications and backhanded apologies.
