Not saying he hit it that far but this argument is dumb. Look up the longest players in the PGA. Both sports have a lot to do with rotational force generation. Yeah being stronger and taller has advantages but not as much as people like to think.

Every argument of Mantle's "technique" will be answered with "Bonds". You're gonna tell me that mick's "skill set" was so much greater than Barry freaking Bonds' skill set(it wasn't) that it made up for 50lbs & HGH....and then another 50 feet or so...despite turning around balls that were coming 5-10mph slower

That's not the argument being made. It's more "well if he did hit it that far, then how come players of equal skill who are much bigger and stronger haven't come close?"
