I don't deny that's a part of it.

But I don't think you can deny that there's some element of our society equating poor to morally deficient. It's built in to so many of the assumptions made about that person standing in line next to you when you start judging their purchases with absolutely no context and then projecting that onto huge numbers of others using the program.

So that's just junk food based on the UPC code. What about all the boiled crawfish and other prepared foods I see them buy. That and 50 lbs of verons sausage at a time and shite. frick that shite.

There's no projection here. There is the undisputable fact that $15 billion dollars of other peoples tax dollars was spent on empty calories that contribute to a terrible epidemic of obesity and diabetes. This is not okay.

I have no problem with kids having a good time, but it shouldn't come from a social safety net program whose sole purpose is to prevent those in poverty from going hungry.

i think spending money on crap and junk versus taking better care of your family and children makes you morally deficient.

Only a morally deficient person would take a handout such as this and utilize it for entertainment.

People get mad at the bum that takes your handout and buys booze, but the same ones don't mind the abuse if it is on a govt card.
